The ZAPÁS team meets for the 3rd annual progress meeting in Berlin at the Institute for Space Sciences of the Freie Universität Berlin from 10 – 11 April 2014. The workshop is aiming to finalize the validation activities as done so far for the local scale biomass and forest cover & disturbance maps, as well as the regional scale land cover and biomass produts. One of the main goals of the meeting will be to discuss the results of the last milestone of the full carbon ecosystem assessment. Questions as follows will be discussed during the two days: What is the state of Central Siberia’s carbon distribution? How much does scale matter? What kind of uncertainties are we dealing with by integration forest inventory and multi-scale earth observation products?
